North Sea House
Hospitality film · 90 seconds

Copenhagen studio · Film & photography
Betty Cam makes brand films and photographic studies for fashion houses, inns, and people who make objects. The pictures are quiet on purpose. They are meant to be used, and to last longer than the season they were made for.
Six recent studies. Each one was commissioned for a real use — a room, a collection, a name — and cut until it could stand without a caption.
We stay a little longer than is comfortable. The useful frame usually arrives after the posed one has left.
If the light is wrong we move the hour, not a slider. Most of the look is decided before the camera comes out of the case.
Nothing stays in the film to prove we were clever. A ninety-second piece should feel like one breath, not a tour.

The studio
Betty Cam is a studio in Copenhagen. We work with fashion labels, inns, and makers of objects. The crew stays small: a director, a photographer, and the people already in the room. We travel. Most jobs begin with a call, a written note of what the pictures are for, and a day of looking before anything is recorded.
“They photographed the inn as if they had already stayed the night.”
“I finally have a film I can send instead of an explanation.”
“Calm on set. Exact in the edit. Nothing extra.”
New work
A few lines are enough: what you are making, who it is for, and when you hope to begin. We read everything that arrives. If we are the right studio, we propose a short call.
